Saint Ignatius of Antioch, a disciple of Saint John and Saint Paul, was the first to refer to the Church as the “Catholic” (Universal) Church. He said it is a divine institution, whose purpose is the salvation of souls and which includes all those who are faithful to the truth.

Pray today to Saint Ignatius for the faithfulness of the Church.
